Block-Printing: 14 Basic Steps
1: Soak in dung solution to clean cloth
2: Wash and beat plain cloth to smooth surface
3: Prepare mordant solution with powdered myrobalan fruit
4: Treat cloth with myrobalan solution
5: Print with dye-resisting paste to create white space
6: Prepare black dye agent using rusty metal and sugar
7: Block-print with iron mordant for black
8: Block-print with alum mordant for red
9: Boil with red dye plants for several hours
10: Wash and dry red-dyed cloth
11: Dip in indigo dye
12: Wash and dry indigo-dyed cloth
13: Spray with yellow dye made from turmeric or pomegranate skin
14: Final wash and dry
